I stayed at a flat in Belarmine, Stepaside up in the Dublin mountains through Dublin at Home. I stayed there for two weeks and had a wonderful stay. The flat was clean and well equipped with everything you might need for a short or long stay. Very scenic, especially in the early morning with the mist coming off the mountains. The Luas tram is a short walk from the flat and there are bus routes giving you easy access to the centre of Dublin. There are two Centra shops within easy walking distance for your basic necessities. Communication was fast and prompt, overall a recommended stay.

We had a lovely stay in their property in Ireland. The apartment was clean and got everything we need for our 2 week stay. The location was perfect – close enough to Dart station and village and the checkin was easy and smooth. Ian and the team were very responsive! Will definitely come back in the future.

Introducing

Our management team

We pride ourselves on our personable approach, and that starts with our leadership. Here’s a little more about the individuals who make up our management team. Each member brings unique expertise, a passion for what they do, and a genuine commitment to providing excellent service to our guests.

Ian Jarrett

Managing Director

Ian left the Insurance industry to set up Ireland At Home, which is the parent company of Dublin At Home. Ian is still very much involved in the day-to-day running of the business. He adopts a very hands on approach to all aspects of the business. He is ably assisted by the team around him and believes strongly in the inclusiveness of everyone – it’s all about team work. He has a great business acumen and forges alliances within the industry to help Dublin At Home become a market leader in the serviced accommodation sector.

Mike Brady

Partner
You are probably less likely to meet Mike. Although we do have it on good authority that he’s quite a nice person, he spends most of his time locked away in a dark room looking at a screen full of code. as Ian’s business partner, Mike has built every single iteration of every web site the company has had online, has been responsible for the availability and booking engine, payment systems and back-end administration. He occasionally comes up for air (usually if there is a pint to be had!). Ian and Mike work together and have made every decision about the company together. They have a great relationship born of friendship first. Mike’s dedication to the technical side of the business has kept Ireland At Home and Dublin At Home online and operating for more than 20 years.

Laura Murphy

Guest Services Manager
Laura is our Guest Services Manager, who, along with her team look after our guests from their arrival to their departure. Her role includes solving day to day issues for guests, managing housekeeping and laundry, and setting up new accommodation – always with a smile on her face. She is a tour de force, easily taking on gargantuan tasks which would leave many others exhausted! She is the face of the company and the person most people interact with daily. She really cares about our guests and that’s why you will often see her mentioned by name in our fantastic reviews!

Barbara Osiadacz

Housekeeping Manager
Barbara is our housekeeping manager, who, along with her team ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. Barbara is committed to ensuring every detail is correct, from freshly laundered linens to spotless surfaces, she creates a welcoming and immaculate environment for guests to enjoy a relaxing and seamless stay. She is so good at her job, that you will often see our cleanliness mentioned as part of our reviews.

Lisa Balding

Marketing and Distribution Manager
Newly appointed to our team, Lisa in a short time has made herself invaluable to the company. Lisa is our Marketing and Distribution Manager and since her first day here has delved into our business, learning everything about it and has started an amazing campaign online with a new marketing strategy and is currently in the process of updating our brand, forging new partnerships within our sector and along with Indigital, has worked on our amazing new web presence. With Lisa, we are gaining new insights into our market and finding new opportunities to grow and compete.

How we got started

2001

It started with a simple conversation between friends — what began as a casual discussion soon evolved into a plan to build something meaningful.

Cork Holiday Homes was created
In 2001, Ian had just one holiday property. It was in Cork, and he asked his friend and neighbour Mike Brady to create a website so that people could find the house online and book it for a holiday. Mike happened to own a web development company in the city and was happy to oblige and along with Mike’s wife Ona, the design process began! A relation of Ian’s followed suit with a property of their own and was added to the website, and another meeting was scheduled. And after about another six months, a couple of neighbouring holiday homes joined on the website and corkholidayhomes.com was born from this - A website offering about 20 properties soon grew to have about 100+ or so.
2001
Ireland At Home was created
Fast forward about a year and ideas of grandeur began to affect the duo. Although content with the Cork business, they decided to branch out and cover the whole island. It took some time to get enough properties on board, but eventually Ireland At Home was created and over time the number of properties increased to 400 plus, nationwide. It was decided to focus on Ireland and try to create the best customer experience online as possible, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
2003
Dublin At Home was created
The corporate rental sector was hotting up and as a ‘toe in the water’ the two friends set up Dublin At Home, its primary purpose to supply corporate rental properties to the professional business sector.
2007
Dublin At Home expansion
We moved away from nationwide rentals and focused our energies on growing our team and portfolio offerings at Dublin At Home.
2020
COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic had an unprecedented impact on businesses worldwide. It brought our business operations to a halt and served as a catalyst for innovation and digital transformation. During this period, we conducted a comprehensive review of our systems, identifying areas for improvement and operational opportunities. We used the downtime to upgrade our systems, streamline processes, and adopt new technologies. These enhancements have allowed us to dedicate more time to engaging directly with our customers, building stronger relationships, and increasing overall customer satisfaction.
2021
New Website launched
Working closely with InDigital, we conducted a thorough review of our existing website and decided on a complete rebrand, which we successfully launched in Q4 2024. The updated branding, refreshed layout, and enhanced information aim to provide a significantly improved customer journey, making it easier for visitors to navigate our site and access the information they need.
